CineBox Home 9x5 Backyard Theater System Customer Review

I use this gear with my movie club and we love it! It is just like having a walk-up acting in the backyard. It was one of the best entertainment purchases I have ever made. The only thing I don't like is the noisy blower to keep the cover up, but you may be able to use the cover lacking it... but haven't tried that yet.
- cheryl morrison

CineBox Home 9x5 Backyard Theater System

"CineBox Home rips the roof off the home theater and takes it further than. The hot-air balloon cover is easier to set up than a pup exhibition area and as dispirited, the 123-creep diagonal movie cover weighs about eight pounds and fits of laughter inside a duffle bag, which you can take anywhere. Effectively any venue can become a theater. Everyone can enjoy their favorite movies by the pool, in your backyard, or at a BBQ on the beach.
Commence Air Cinema manufactures its screens below the highest of standards to ensure feature, durability and ease of use. Set up is a shatter. Austerely use the air blower to fill with air the cover, plug in the CineBoxTM Home, pop in a movie and you're all set for big-cover, backyard movie-below-the-stars action!"

Yamaha YAS-70BL Front Surround System (Black) Buyer Reviews

I researched this unit, and purchased it at Costco in-store which was significantly less that what Amazon sells it for. I hooked it up to the optical audio out on my flat screen and the TV sends the sound to the Yamaha whatever I am watching on the TV (cable, DVD, Roku, Wii, whatever). There is no receiver or bonus gear caught up. The sound it crisp and it often sounds like the sound is appearance from in the rear us like a full 5.1 logic would. I vastly urge this unit.
- Stephen Bluestein

Straightforward complex and outstanding signal. I don't enter loads of reviews, even if, the Yamaha YAS-70BL inspired meto do so. Get this logic. ....
- James Tabor "TechDog"

I bought a Yamaha receiver to go with a surround signal wrap and I ended up with the YAS-70. The bad thing is the this element does not hook up to a reciever at all so i spent money on something i never needed. The bar hooks straight up to the subwoofer and the subwoofer and at that calculate hooks up to the TV. The only thing you have to buy is a digital optical cable (i reflect thats what it was) that hooks up from the subwoofer to the TV. I at that calculate changed the settings on the tv from tv speakers to surround signal speakers. I dont even have to use my tv speakers any longer and if you did, you would get an echo signal because they were not working together. The base is deep and the speakers are loud. I have had my next door neighbors occur over and tell me to turn it not working as im watching a movie or before a live audience battlfied. I love it!!!
- JO MOMMA "COOKIE-MONSTER"

I was exhausted of speakers and wires all over the room just for Surround sound for home acting. Then I came in a roundabout way this sound bar. It was exact!A sound bar plus woofer lecturer is all that makes up this logic. But it somehow sends splendid sound all around the room. And the feature of sound is like not anything I've gotten from many additional tested multi-lecturer wired systems. Bells and high sounds sound real. Storms make you want to look further than to make sure its not real. Explosions, gun shots, you name it, very realistic.I'll by no means go back to a wired multi-wired lecturer logic. Why scare? My only come forth is it has only three relations. One digital optical, one digital coaxial and one analog rca L/R (I don't use).I superfluous a digital optical switcher, to solve this come forth. But they may maybe have calculated at nominal amount 3 optical and three coaxial as ordinary inputs. This logic sounds so good, why not complement it with more than sufficient inputs? Even if, they did not deny on sound feature in any way.Highly not compulsory! Fits exact privileged than plasma or LCD wall mounted HDTV's.
- Randy M "rdm"

The chief fly over pro me on this one was the price tag. Keep pro as they say, you get on to what you shell out pro, and that is true with the Yamaha YAS-70BL. The foremost wits why I top made known this setup is since you don't be inflicted with to go on wires all over the house with a signal wedge be fond of this Yamaha. We use this in a generous club antechamber in a house of worship so it doesn't do the virtual surround justice. I'm guaranteed it would work best in a smaller opportunity where the signal may maybe imitate off the walls be fond of it's infer to. All good wishes how skilled the signal is, so I don't be inflicted with any complaints in this vicinity this system.
- D. Smith "Tex"

The Wife categorically hated the wood Bose 201s I had collectively to our home theater. Report has it that she was exhausted of wood and boxy speakers, so she tasked me with a deed: find shiny black speakers for her birthday.Fortunate Birthday, then! I looked at akin Bose solutions as well, but this wins out on fee, akin map set, and signal feature. It sits on the blanket, aptly not more than our wall-mounted 46" Samsung, and looks shiny (and black!) FM touchtone phone logic and DVD playback were very good, even if element audio as a fund is practically low. In view of the fact that it has optical audio partaking void, I can jack my Dish DVR into this and bring signal to life in a new way. I'll doubtless end up looking for a digital audio switcher for myself, in view of the fact that it only has the one optical-in.The diffident looks up to most tasks, even if it doesn't seem like it will exchange any if all of the void remotes (yet-a additional-diffident). This actually gets me to idea that the real ultimate contrivance would be a great partaking-productivity box that would join to a slim PC, and you would hegemony your partaking/productivity switching with the box very than six remotes and cable (un)plugging. But I go off on a tangent...This is a attractive key. The Wife had a splendid birthday, we have huge signal with only two gears and no wires or superfluous speakers scattered right through the room. I'll buy the iPod connector and crash back. This is a four-star buy.-C
- Christopher Wanko "-C"

Good Signal, nice add-on for someone interested in a austere add-on without having to put speakers everywhere. Commanding enough to take pleasure in in a 20x12 room. Got them on a good sale, so it was a no-brainer.
- John

I searched for so lingering before I irrevocably bought this unit. Surplus assured that you will be buying a extremely high quality sourround signal system for a extremely low price. I didn't be inflicted including the time or money to purchase a 5.1 or 7.1 system. Bottom line, I love movies and record games, and this system performs water supply further than my high expectations. The simulated surround actually works, and you can hear all talking over background blast. I be inflicted including by no means flush had to curve it up more than 75% as much as it can go. It has actually unadorned surgical course of action too.
- Tocz

I already had a Sony sound bar system in my living room. The Sony system sounded great but the volume didn't get loud enough. So I resolute to try this Yamaha system. The Yamaha system sounds as good but doesn't have any trouble including the volume. So now I have the Sony system in my bedroom which gets louder in the smaller room and the Yamaha in my living room. I'm real happy including this setup.
- S. Deck

With reading all the positive reviews I was in the family way alot better, I have owned 5.1, 6.1 & 7.1 systems in the past and this is far from the quality I have had from my additional systems The bass is O.K. but the Digital Signal field Dispensation (DSP) is hardly noticeable. anyone looking for true quality SURROUND, don't buy this logic, You will be disappointed.

Yamaha YAS-70BL Front Surround System (Black)

Yamaha YAS-70BL Front Surround System provides surround sound and deep, powerful bass starting just two units. Depiction on our extensive encounter in digital signal processing and the use of sound reflections to create surround sound, Yamaha developed the Air Surround System. Through direct and reflected sound, it provides an enjoyable listening encounter lacking multiple speakers. It can be used in rooms of all sizes, and is especially convenient for small rooms. Stereo sound can also be enjoyed. Yamaha's newly developed Advanced YST (Yamaha Active Servo Technology) combines negative impedance and constant-current principles to drive the lecturer cone with flush tighter control than earlier. Using Advanced Negative Impedance converter (ANIC) circuits, this system dynamically optimizes effectual lecturer impedance to maintain excellent linearity. This means more stable and true low range response, not to bring up higher sound pressure levels, for more untreated and lively bass reproduction. With YAS-70, you'll have no worries about compatibility with various movie sound formats. The amplifier's DSP circuitry can decode the three most standard formats: Dolby Digital, DTS and Dolby Pro Judgment II (for 5.1-channel playback of 2-channel source material). Yamaha YHT-S401BL Front Surround Home Theater System Shopper Reviews

I had earlier tried the Yamaha S400BL sound bar to go with my new Bravia HX929 box. (Since it is for a bedroom, I don't have the room or assets to deal with a true surround sound complex.) Even if it was much cheaper, I establish that I had a near-impracticable time appreciative box dialogue with the 400BL no theme how many settings I tweaked. Now, part of this may maybe be the size of the room or the necessary residency of the gear, but any way, it was a deal-breaker.When I saw that the newer develop was inane to have the apparent accent choice, I thought I would chat the old and give it a try. What a splendid swap! The sound is balanced and the dialogue pops. I can play with all the different surround modes and bass/treble levels and STILL be with you the dialogue. Sound feature on movies, sports assembly, and even composition is exceptional given the small foot-photograph of this sound bar. I also love that the integrated subwoofer/receiver can be vertically mounted to save interval. So, if you're looking for a sound solution for a bedroom/small sprawl, this is a splendid choice. Primarily not compulsory for persons who have trouble appreciative dialogue from rear-projecting tv speakers or more compressed sound bars.
- Meg

I purchased this primarily for the HDMI pass through as ports on an old Samsung plasma were not effective consistently. That map worked great and although that television has died, the YHT-S401 lives on in my entertainment center. The sound leveler works great across inputs in cooperation toning down loud commercials or abrupt changes in volume (louder or softer) when switching between inputs. I stream via Bluetooth to an attached Logitech Bluetooth adapter from an ipad 4, asus transformer, laptops and innumerable phones and was pleasantly surprised that the enhancement map does make a noticeable improvement in the sound quality. The receiver looks great and I tenderness not having a separate subwoofer box. And, while I valued the ability to attach additional speakers I be inflicted including not felt the need to play through these at all - the sound bar has been great so far. I had been debating on this purchase for months on Amazon as the price fluctuated between $599 and $449. At $399 it is a much smaller investment and a great value. I'm very pleased including the purchase.

Have been using the YHT-S401BL for a couple of days currently and initial impressions are, well, impressive. It sounds great - with all input sources - the HDMI switching is incredibly convenient, there are copious input options (3 HDMI, analog R/W, digital toslink AND win over connections, not to bring up the FM tuner), the hard-wired bass gives a good thrashing and the lecturer itself is outstanding, with a surprisingly small footprint to boot. The depiction doesn't do the size of the sound bar justice reasonably frankly. All video source are relayed at their highest resolutions possible (1080p, 1080i and 720p sources), with no visible signal degredation at all. There are many more wires to connect than you might be expecting however, so be aware of that fact. All wiring starting input sources run into the secondary/receiver element, which connects to the sound bar with a lecturer cable that has six connections on each end. I have three HDMI cables (Blu-shaft, Roku, AppleTV) running into the receiver/secondary, as well as a toslink (Xbox) and digital win over (FIOS STB). Then, one HDMI cable runs starting the secondary/receiver to the TV. (I decided to keep my video signals with the Xbox and FIOS separate because sometimes I like to game or mind TV while listening to music and that would not be possible running those video signals through the HDMI switcher on the secondary/receiver, because then those are the active signals and it doesn't allow you to access audio starting a different input while watching video on another. Hope that through sense.)The instruction manual is not permanently easy to comprehend, especially with regards to activating HDMI control. It claims to be CEC amenable, but I could not get on to that feature to work with my Samsung DLP, which is CEC amenable as well - and works fine with my Samsung Blu-shaft. I went through the directions several times and it just never worked. Could be because the TV is starting 2008, when the HDMI CEC movement was in its youth. Not a big deal, as I will eventually set up my Harmony to control everything. Besides, the included remote works extremely well and isn't that big. It's no problem keeping it nearby to adjust the volume or input when de rigueur. After my encounter with the Boston Acoustics TVee Develop 30 I'm not going to jump the gun just yet and anoint the S401BL the clear winner, but aptly currently I think it over no reason why it won't be staying with us. It's a big stride up starting the entry level Yamaha and for my money, performs much better than the Yamaha DSP-2200, which I did not like at all. If you're on the fence, I'd display give it a shot.

To start, I've seen other people here asking about 3D pass-thru since one of the most helpful reviews mentions problems with it. Well, it works for me. Going from PS3 -> Yamaha -> LG 55LM7600.I actually be fond of how greatly space this system saves. The sound doesn't be inflicted with quite as greatly "oomph" as credentials be fond of, save pro it's sweet skilled. Foremost conundrum is the non-payment speaker volumes are all the constant, with those settings you can barely take think it over of the bass. I turned all of the speakers all the way not working (-6), apart starting "crucial top" which I deposit at -5, and then I deposit the sub-woofer as distinguished it would go (+6). With these settings, the bass is sweet skilled. Not fantastic, save pro absolutely square.I've release had it a release just any income save pro by currently watched a tell of proceedings movies, where the emulated surround sound would be inflicted with the most depression, and it doesn't actually sound that "surround". Sometimes it does, at the very nominal amount some sounds don't sound be fond of they're appearance starting aptly in adjoin of you, save pro it doesn't sound be fond of they're behind you any. Not a enormous transact business to me though. A kind touch though is that if you do be inflicted with superfluous speakers, the receiver does be inflicted with outputs pro genuine surround speakers so you can enlarge them if you be inflicted with them. You be inflicted with to chat a background on the receiver to in detail use them though. That is the tradeoff with this type of system. The most valuable thing pro me was reduction space by not having a break sub-woofer, as the opportunity this is in isn't terribly enormous, so this does the career sweet skilled. And you can stand the system up vertically, kinda looks be fond of a generous black Xbox 360.ARC (audio restore) does not work pro me. I had the HDMI plugged into the aptly haven on in cooperation the TV and the Yamaha and I had "HDMI Potential" set to "On" on the Yamaha, which is vital pro it to work - save pro I couldn't get on to it to work. Having look into in this vicinity ARC on additional sites, it seems to be a kind in theory save pro horrible in practice. Most broadcast just can't get on to it to work reliably no topic what systems they are using. So save yourself an hour of futzing almost with it and just get on to an optical cable vacant starting your TV to the the Yamaha.By and large I'm positively pleased with the system. My release genuine gripe is the fee. Save pro if you can come across the deprivation of it, and space is a premium pro you, it's doubtless worth it.-----Update, June 2013: Take up again to be quite fortunate with the system, so fortunate in detail that I bought a following lone pro my extra family theater complex. Fortunate to think it over the fee dropped $100 in the meantime!

I'm sorry the previous reviewer felt gypped by Yamaha with his purchase of the YHT-S401, as that hasn't been my encounter. I also have had copious entertainment systems of varying quality and size, but currently be in this world in a smaller space, so have had to forgo the floor-standing speakers I would extremely to use. After taking into account a digit of different sound bar options, I settled on the YHT-S401 primarily because of 1) the receiver, so I could run just one HDMI cable to my TV, 2) the subwoofer integrated into the receiver, as I if not don't have room for a separate secondary, 3) its discrete left, aptly, and center channel speakers, 4) its digital win over audio input, to which I could connect my Squeezebox Touch, and 5) the flexibility to enlarge rear channel speakers in the future. I chose not to build my own system by individually buying an affordable receiver and passive sound bar primarily because of the integrated secondary.Overall I'm impressed with the sound and happy with the purchase. I currently keep the L, R, C lecturer levels at zero, but have the subwoofer at +2; I have in cooperation Bass and Treble at +5. I mind all video on the "Movie" surround manner with the "Clear Voice" feature on, and discover the sound to be great and the dialog to be, well, clear. I did at first discover all the surround sound fields to be a bit odd-sounding, but felt the same with a previous Yamaha receiver and have since acclimated to Movie manner. I do think it's a bit much for Yamaha to claim "powerful 7.1-channel surround sound" starting this 3.1-channel system, flush with their "AIR SURROUND XTREME" functionality, but that said I'm happy with the sound and do discover it to be full and enveloping. Just recently I was won over someone was knocking on our entrance, enough so to repeatedly pause the movie to get on to sure (they weren't).For music I choose to skip the surround modes and stab with plain old "Stereo" manner. Again, I do be in this world in a smaller space, but feel pretty in no doubt the sound could easily impart a larger room. I also have a Squeezebox Boom, which itself is small but has awe-inspiring sound, and the YHT-S401 is competitive in quality. I don't try to envision how it might compare to a larger sound system, as I'm usually too lost in the music to bother. I was concerned that the sound bar didn't have tweeters, but am impressed by its high-range reproduction lacking them. The bass is also full and doesn't vibrate the schooner shelves on my TV stand (which have rubber bumpers bottom); it however might be a bit boomier than I'd like, if I were being picky (which I'm not, as I enjoy it). I did recently discover made known that the Clear Voice feature works in Stereo manner, and that it makes the sound more full, less hollow. Some other points:- I was disappointed there wasn't an OSD for the volume, but I can easily think it over the volume level on the receiver.- I house of protection't had mixture or other issues with the gears I have connected by way of HDMI.- As a replacement for of using the thinner lecturer cable that came in the box, I used thicker 16 gauge wire. This means I have three cables running to the sound bar, but with them bundled it's not that bad and worth the potential boost in sound quality.- I was planning on hanging the sound bar bottom my TV, but decided not to because the spring clips are located such that the sound bar brackets would have roofed them up. I would have preferred if the mounting holes were further gone starting the spring clips.- Regarding its physical dimensions, I think the sound bar is deeper than comparable passive sound bars, but that might be a good thing in stipulations of sound quality.- I use a Harmony remote, and because the input selectors on the OEM remote are non-standard it took a bit to get on to it set up (i.e. there are separate buttons for different inputs, but each needs to be pressed multiple times for an individual input).- This is true of other similar setups, but annotation that if you mind a video source that originates at your TV (e.g. Netflix), it's possible the HDMI ARC input will not send sound back to your receiver; in such a case you'll also need to connect a digital optical cable, and the sound will likely be down-sampled to stereo and sent as PCM. I'm guessing the receiver has the ability to then take that signal and approximate surround sound, but I house of protection't checked nor tested it.- This is the single element I have that doesn't connect to the Internet or have apps. Not sure how long that will last even if, as soon I'm sure I'll be able to mind Netflix on my fridge and toaster (and if not, I'm throwing them made known, as they're useless!).

After searching and reading all kind of reviews for about 2 weeks, I got confused and frustated in get a decent soundbar for my bedroom. I am a fan of the good quality signal and video. I didn't want to open holes in the walls to run the satelite speakers wires because my wife will kill me,so I decide to look for a good hardwire ( no wireless subwoofer) soundbar with a decent review. I was opening to any brands. I already have a powerfull and excellent YHT492UBL system in the living room together to a 3D Blu-ray and a 55" LED 3D TV and HD channels from my provider, so I know about quality. Because this unit ( YHT 401BL) is new in the promote and almost none review I was so scare, but I took the risk. Oh my lord!!! it's unbelivable the sounds. The projection of the expandable surround signal is very clear and realisty. The subwoofer is part of the receiver ( I was scare about this too), it's giving the perfect balance, clear of the BOOM sounds without distortions. I coonected it to a 42" LED 3D samgsum TV 7000 series and I feel so happy about it that at this time I am, writting a review. If you close your eyes like I did and get inside the room with the system on , you could think that you are listening the most expensive surround system in the promote. I know is no cheap, but worth every penny. Buy it, you won't regrete it.
- Osvaldo Nodarse "Ozzie"

Purchased this flush though there arent loads of reviews out there for it. I looked-for a signal bar/ surround key to a tiny 10' X 10' room. I am using it including a 47" LED TV including the intention of i watch movies and do a little gaming on as water supply. I looked-for something including the intention of sounded like have a surround lacking the surrounds. Whats kind in this vicinity this element is including the intention of you have to the selection to add surrounds if you like. Since most of my time is any watching a trade show or before a live audience PS3/Xbox 360. I decided not to hook up the surrounds. The set up in the room is TV on one roadblock and my supervise ended on the other so except i put the surrounds pointing confidential i dont have loads of options. The bass is good and apparent; not earth shaking but you can extremely near believe it. My sub/receiver is on a ridge aptly below the TV. The audio coming from the three channels is stuck-up and comparable to other models in the 500 bread range. The kind thing in this vicinity this complex is the decoders importance you dont have to have a additional receiver to decode Blu rays etc... which is awe-inspiring. I was also looking at the Harmon Kardon which is a little cheaper, better sub; but it the stage in stereo release and doesnt decode no matter what thing. For the fee i dont believe you can beat this element. If you have any questions please reply and ill do my best to answer. All in all im extremely glad i made this purchase and have no regrets including this complex. I peek forward to using it when i aspire approximately entertainment.
- Michael S. Gossman "The Chef"

Ok sound and the clear voice option works great. I was no longer asking my boyfriend "what did they just say?" every 10 mins. Sadly, the 3D video pass-owing to doesn't work with our ps3 & Panasonic ST 30 with HDMI 1.4 highspeed cables setup. We called tech help & they told us it must be plug & play, so we exchanged it hoping it was a defect. Sorry to say this was not the case. 3D works great when the ps3 is hooked frankly to tv, but 3D indicate dies when played owing to soundbar logic. 2D menus and make happy work fine owing to the logic, but soon as 3D indicate kicks in, it fails to push owing to the 3D video and only audio comes owing to the sounbar. In the end, if you don't plan to watch 3D, I'd rate it as 4stars (high and mighty you don't mind owning a product where not all functions work).

You will be hard-hard-pressed to find another solution for big sound in a small wrap that sounds as good as this Yamaha does. Here's my story. I ongoing with the Bose Cinemate. The TV wasn't pushing ample sound through its speakers, and we couldn't tell what anyone was adage. Very than doing lots of investigate, we opted for an pressing solution. We went to Butt and grabbed a Bose CineMate unit. It only had analog inputs, but it would enlarge on the TV's sound, so that's all that matters.2 years later, we're tired of the bad mix we made export the Bose. It's louder, but we still can't hear the dialogue very well on TV shows, movies, you name it. So I found a great deal on the Yamaha YAS-101BL sound bar. It sounded unbelievable compared to the Bose, and at half the cost! I'm a huge Yamaha fan, as I by now have a Yamaha horn, guitar, and some day dirt bike. So the Yamaha brand was a no-brainer.Roku TroublesHOWEVER! The one area that the YAS-101 wasn't able to keep up was with Roku make happy. We have a Roku 2 XS for Plex, Netflix, etc, and it's connected to the TV via HDMI. There is no optical out on the Roku box, so we couldn't wire it directly into the Yamaha YAS-101. The TV might have passed the Dolby Digital+ indicate directly to the YAS-101, but the sound bar wasn't able to decode the indicate. No sound from Roku = no dice.Enter YHT-S401I figured, since we need HDMI switching (Panasonic Blu-ray Player and Roku 2), we might as well get a soundbar that can in fact decode Dolby Digital+ AND batter HDMI. I'm a perfectionist for details, so I want the full digital indicate (TrueHD, etc) going to the receiver for decoding. So we sold the YAS-101 and bought the YHT-S401. Wow.The YAS-101 has unbelievable clear sound as it is. I listen to music on a pair of Sennheiser HD-595 headphones through a home-made O2 amp evenly, so I know what great sonic feature sounds like. The YHT-S401 is at least two times best than the YAS-101. The depth of sound is so rich and realistic that it really makes movie night all about the experience again! The built-in subwoofer provides the perfect amount of bass. It's not so much that you can't hear the dialogue, and it's not so little that you marvel why it's even there. It's just the perfect amount of bass to weigh out the rich highs and mids appearance from the three-supervise over speaker bar. You can chat the subwoofer level from -6 to +6. I just leave it at +1, and it sounds fantastic. The YHT-S401 hasn't had any vex decoding Dolby Digital+, DD, DTS, or DTS-HD. Those are the only formats I've terrified at it, but it can decode a whole handful more. It's nice that the receiver will show you what format it's decoding at all times. This logic plays audio from the Roku with no harms, so I'm a happy camper!By and large Sound ImpressionsThe sound that this logic is able to yield is really impressive. A lot of broadcast say that it's 'not great' compared to a 5.1 logic. I'm not a fan of surround seups (I very 2.1 - or soundbars), so I can't comment on that, nor do I want to.I turned on the notch scene from Fast Five (1080p, DTS HD) and a friend walked in the room from further than. His response was, "That sounded amazing from further than, and I'm not even in the room!" The sound reproduction is really, REALLY realistic from the YHT-S401. Movie soundtracks sound full and rich, and dialogue sounds exceptionally clear - even lacking 'Clear Voice' activated.By the way, the 'Clear Voice' feature is not just a attention-grabber - it will enhance the frequencies near human address, and it doesn't muck up the rest of the sound. I'm sure it was austere for the engineers to implement, but it works wonders in real world applications.Virtual SurroundThe way we have it set up, the TV/soundbar are in the confront of a tiled room; so the virtual surround doesn't gathering very well. I'm fine with that, even if, as the sound is so rich nonetheless. There are a few times - when I've been meeting directly in front of the unit - that I've noticed some surround equipment, but I like this logic more for its by and large sound feature, not the surround attempts.Another nice thing about it is that it comes with connections for all 5 speaker terminals, so if you want to add 2 surround speakers in the possibility, it's as easy as plugging in more speaker wire. If you want to use two uncommon left/right supervise over speakers, you can continue to use the soundbar as the center supervise over and hook up uncommon speakers to the front left/right channels. It's cool how double-jointed the logic is.ConsThe only con I can think of is that the highs aren't as crystal clear as I would very. The logic doesn't have dyed-in-the-wool tweeters, so it's understandable; and let me be clear, the sound from this logic is unbelievable clear. There's just a certain feature to ridiculously clear high frequencies that makes a sound logic PERFECT - and this logic doesn't hit those frequencies. I'll say it again, the highs are still amazing on this logic, but they just don't ring like they do appearance from dyed-in-the-wool tweeters. Since the movie-surveillance experience is not stalled by this, it doesn't affect my rating at all. For the money, this logic is fantastic.SuggestionsWhen you're streaming your music store, music sounds best in "Stereo" mode. There's a "Stereo Enhanced" and "Music" (probably ProLogic II) mode, but they don't re-erect the music in as raw a create as just plain old "Stereo" mode does. Try it - you'll see what I mean.
- Casey Friday

Small room, ultra-thin flat tire panel TV with sound with the intention of is predictable of today's new flat tire panels. The thinner they get, the worse they sound.I will preface by saying my logic has a full 7.1 channel Denon surround sound hooked up but we don't like to use it except for movies so I be inflicted with been incisive for a clad sound bar logic for everyday TV shows. So, I be inflicted with now purchased a Bose Solo which I had for 3 days and with no way to change the boom, boom boom of the bass, decided to return it to Bose. At that calculate bought a Boston Acoustic TVee 10 which worked extremely well but subdue no actual control over the sound levels for bass, treble and mid-array.So I purchased this Yamaha and should say I am pleasantly surprised. Full control of sound levels counting the sub-woofer, HDMI inputs with audio return channel and 3D support and a few other features which I planning would be the predictable gimmicks existing on today's TV's, Apparent Accent and Established Sound (to help with commercial number). Well, these features actually bring about on this soundbar logic. If you are looking for audio 10 times better than the speakers in your flat tire panel, the Yamaha is worth a try.

Sony BDV-T58 3D Blu-ray Disc/DVD Home Theatre System Buyer Reviews

Bought this logic 12/22 at Costco for $299 and corresponding it including a Sony Bravia KDL-55EX621 also at Costco for $1250. Including Costco you pay a modest extra counting sales tax but I can get it for myself and not agonize in this vicinity style of language issues, also can be returned including no questions asked at any calculate.Extremely fortunate so far, caution tiny issues including the signal cold out as I was recording or before a live audience via DVR, but the signal is splendid and internet lobby seems extremely solid (via my Comcast wireless router)Be inflicted including tried all facial appearance, fortunate including all but now I be inflicted including the surround signal bug and may aspire to get extra or better speakers.Definitely would urge (also urge the tv)

I've had this element for in this vicinity 2 weeks. I've made clarification by the feature of the way and will just list them.No fastidious orderPros:1. DVD Playback record and signal is exceptional flush if I did have constituent record before supervise ended from Sat to TV.2. FM Coax connection. Allows me to connect my rooftop TV craft's mast to use as an FM craft's mast. I'm in this vicinity 30 miles from the then-door radio transmitter and it picks up stations extremely water supply.3. Optical input from TV so when I'm using the TV craft's mast for community channels I get high feature audio.4. DLNA feature during playback is as good as listening from a PC collectively wirelessly to the constant server.5. DLNA playback shows title, actor, baby book, file type and recording feature.6. Hulu+, Netflix, NHL Vault (don't use any of persons). Youtube, HD Movies on plea, Flickstream trade show previews and other streaming record/audio.7. Integrated facebook link.8. Integrated browser (I think it's linux-based).9. Online firmware updates.10. Built-in iPod dock. (don't use, don't see the top)11. Includes set up mic for speakers. Not sure if this really helps but it's held to.Cons:1. Audio cuts out sometimes then element freezes when I try to push to it not working to correct come forth.2. Youtube bags gradual.3. Can't stream record via the web browser (i.e. from TV arrangement sites).4. Metaphors on DLNA are extremely tricky to discover except all of your photos are labeled and/or dated properly.5. DLNA is junk. I have manifold albums from manifold artists and approximately are compilations or from movies. The logic sorts them all by actor. Approximately artists aren't listed in the actor folder but are establish in the baby book folder. Not all albums are publicized. It's a enormous mess and I won't use it.6. There is a extremely annoying colorless set alight on the adjoin of the element (like a Cylon or KITT but colorless). It's a futile set alight, release changes when you get behind any pin on the diffident, I estimate to let you know it's received it.7. The spectacle on the element is on the top of it so you can't see no matter what thing except you are aptly there.8. Number displays on TV release in DVD, DLNA or Tuner mode.9. Element was on quiet for in this vicinity 10 outline and when I unmuted it, a loud static-like buzz blast rang through the speakers. The release way I got it to bring to a standstill was to turn off the element, pass the time 3-5 outline for it to in detail turn off, then turn it in trade on ended again.10. No constituent or composite input; outputs release.11. No actual input buttons on the diffident. Release a Gathering pin and if you don't pass the time lingering ample between pushes of the pin, you will pass ended the mode you aspire, clear you have to be surrounded by a few feet of the element to look into the mode in the spectacle.12. Element seems to permanently try out for DVD/BD upon startup. If no CD-ROM is in handbook you can't switch to including the intention of mode (being compensated equipped to slot in DVD aspire it on DVD mode but you can't in anticipation of you slot in CD-ROM). Not a enormous problem but I discover it annoying.13. Record cut out when element was twisted on (numerous era during the at the initiation few living). Had to get behind Family, select productivity to get it in trade.14. Limited on streaming composition (from internet).15. Lecturer connections on element are specific to the element. If the built-in wire isn't lingering ample, splicing has to be made.16. TV ads are sometimes (most of the time) louder than the curriculum or trade show being watched.17. Closed Captioning background on Sat receiver don't bring about through this element. Yes, I know this is a element for signal but if you have a name in your family including the intention of wants to watch TV in the dead of nighttime and can't pocket notice of everything, CC helps but you can't use it. I can't discover any CC settings surrounded by the element.18. Diffident functions are not all water supply-matched including my Harmony diffident. So far including the intention of's all I've got. I'm torn between persistent it and living including it. I'm inane to yield it at smallest amount a additional 2 weeks and see.I did buy my at the initiation BluRay trade show and I'm extremely disappointed. The audio and record weren't at all better than ordinary DVD movies. Maybe they washed-out all their time and money on the 3D part which I can't use.If I discover extra I'll add to this if it let's me.

I did some shopping almost and realized that this was the best manufactured goods to fit my needs since its one of the few Blu-Ray/ Surround Sound systems that have numerous and innumerable inputs on the back. Its has very good, deep, and realistic sound and is easy to use. Plus, the price was travelable. Even if, an item (lecturer wire) was gone from the box, but the consumer benefit from the peddler (BT Enterprises) has been very paying only one of its kind attention and caring in this topic. Good manufactured goods by and large.

I am still amazed by the amazing sound feature of this unit . Extremely easy complex.was as described and arrived in extremely skilled calculate
- hotrod

Occasionally the unit freezes up and instead of the audio for your show or show, you get a loud static-like buzz noise owing to the speakers. The only way to make it stop is to turn the unit off and wait about 3 minutes for the total business to come back on. I returned that unit and am trying a additional one but it sounds like additional public are having the same problem.Sony BDV-T58 3D Blu-ray Disc/DVD Home Theatre Logic

I purchased a Sony BDV-T58 two being ago. It was far ahead of it's time. Accessing apps that are disorder of the art on smart phones and smart televisions is a guarantee. The fee I paid for the unit has doubled in view of the fact that I purchased mine. I just installed a acting lecturer logic in the ceiling of my family tree room. The signal is amazing and the logic is so versatile with apps such as Pandora.
- Flint Robinson

Pro1.Liked that I could change individual lecturer levels so the one next to me is loudest.2.Like the texture on back of Remote.3.Bravia Sync worked great to set my TV to the remote.Cons1.Will not stay together to Netflix.(keeps Buffering.)2.Freezes up unexpectedly.3.Menu is at the top of the unit(Bizarre)Instead of the front so you cant tell what gathering it is on.4.Cannot see lecturer volume.5.Can't see change settings on Signal mode.Rant.I got this unit aptly before Christmas.Paid 199.99.Listen up.There is no closed Captioning for Netflix. When I called Sony I was told that was an OPTION and that Option was only available on high end Sony products.Okay first of all no one chooses to be examination impaired. As we age we all lose a bit of examination in different ranges. This makes it difficult to hear or understand approximately shows. Watch The Dark Knight movie where one actor have a face mask and another (Batman)Mumbles and then try to feel sorry for with the 140 out of every 1,000 people in the United States have approximately kind of examination loss.I then called Samsung and Lg and was told they also had Closed Captioning as a OPTION only on there high end products. It is also very difficult to ferret out how to tell which products have the OPTION.There wants to be an industry standard on things that affect this many people.I have no examination loss but cannot understand approximately of the new shows where mumbling seems to be encouraged. Please manufacturers understanding a show are movie is as important as watching it.CLOSED CAPTION is not an OPTION.
- Blake S.

In stipulations of feature of signal, it is awe-inspiring. But after a week the family key ongoing intermittently effective on initiation up. Turning off and on several era failed to fix the come forth. Also unplugging and replugging works only approximately of the calculate. Here are approximately serious glitches in the software. In person I don't be inflicted with an superfluous couple hours to burn every week troubleshooting this come forth. I am returning it to CostCo. Sony has sunk sweet far in the last several being. If it was a lower end strain this would be grating but expected. But as you're a feature oriented companionship with the intention of charges a premium, you cannot come across the deprivation of to run the affair early transaction to transactions and by weekly profits. It is in this area as bad as as Starbucks got the astute idea of promotion their brunette in gas stations. You need to pocket pride in your strain Sony - it is a link, not a transaction obtuse ... or exchange your strain to the Walmart of electronics and cut the fee in half.
- Daniel L. Needles

About a year or so ago I bought a Sony BluRay from Costco, we had been buying the cheap DVD players for about $30-40/pop, but they would break every 6 months, so we decided it was time to bombard out a bit for something that would hopefully last us at least 5 being. We use antenna and NetFlix, the Netflix was choppy and the menu was grating. We took it back after a few months and got a Panasonic BluRay with wifi and surround sound. Huge improvement with connectivity with Netflix, the sound was sweet good. About a week or so ago I see the Sony wifi BluRay with surround sound for the same price we paid for the Panasonic. We exchange the Panasonic for the Sony. Sony must have made some improvements with their connectivity issues with Netflix. The sound is awe-inspiring. It's sweet. With the panasonic the subwoofer didn't blend the bass as well with the social class. The streaming from Netflix is faster than the Panasonic and flawless. This unit is commonly better than the before Sony or Panasonic BluRay we had. It seems sturdier. I would like it if I could see the number facts up or down like I could on the other ones, just the light blinks, the buttons are on top, they are like looking but must probably be where one can see them when sitting down. Meh, that's nitpicking to me, I'm not a big-time consumer so a hold like this is HUGE for me, and I'm very happy with it to date. I reflect if a name has problems with the unit misbehaving, being slow, et al., call consumer service. This is why I make purchases like this from CostCo...amazing restore policy (plus they give very fair prices and are a GREAT place to work).I hope this helps anyone thinking about getting this :)
- Morgaine

I didn't want to spend more for the audio, than for the TV.I chose this system as a compromise, and for its value. It works water supply, sounds 100% best than my Bravia LED TV speakers, and fits of laughter my valuable equipment. It syncs impeccably including my TV,and so no problems including remotes, etc. So scan all the reviews, to knowwhat you're getting, and perhaps the BDV-T58 will bring about for you.I've had the unit for 6 months now, and soothe like it a lot.No problems at all. A bit gradual on initiation up, but OK. Highly recommend.

Samsung HT-Z420 Home Theater System Reviews

Expected this for a birthday present and decided to keep it after all was said and done. It is a nice basic system with good sound. I like the wireless rear lecturer system (flush if more on that in a little bit). Also it comes ready for the Ipod. It was fairly easy to put together. I had to buy an superfluous HDMI cable to connect it to the TV, so there was some additional expense.Once I had it set up, I plugged in my Ipod expecting sound starting all 5 speakers and discovered there was no sound starting the rear speakers. I checked all my connections and they were fine. I got online with Samsung support be in this world chat. It took him a while to discover the product in his catalog. Then he in the end sent me a web link that had me double check my connections again (which I had already done). When I told him the connections were good, he told me I needed an online service order. As a replacement for, I took it back to the store and got another element. Hooked it up single to realize (again with the Ipod) the rear speakers did not work. I finally realized that each time I synced the ipod to the home theater, that it automatically went to "lecturer" manner, which mutes the rear speakers. I had to manually press the "manner" button on the remote to choose "music" manner (or a digit of others) to enable the rear speakers. So my single beef is that 1) Samsung support failed me big time (it was reasonably an easy fix after all)and 2) I would like to switch on the Ipod lacking having to fiddle with the modeNow that it is up and running I like the product and feel it is a good buy for the money. I use it for Ipod, DVD, Cable TV, and the Wii (which the kids love). The TV and Wii required an RCA audio cable starting the TV back to the home theater.

I purchased this set at Most excellent Approve of pro a great fee and rushed family to set it up to go with my extra Samsung syncmaster HDTV. The set up was a shatter save pro I be inflicted with yet to conspire made known how to do the automobile-calibration: The instant start handbook doesn't bring up it. When we turned on the telephone system to test the speakers, sound was release appearance starting the three adjoin non-wireless speakers. With in this vicinity 20 summary of frustration, I everlastingly realized I had to chat the sound background to productivity in surround sound. 5 seconds before long I heard wonderful composition starting all of the speakers! Watched Valkyrie last night and I be inflicted with to display in cooperation the upscaling and the audio are awe-inspiring. At numerous points in the trade show, I had to flash to turn the volume not working to care for neighbors starting thinking explosions were vacant sour in my household. The volume was release at 22 at the time, so I doubt there will be a conundrum with the sound life too despondent. I still be inflicted with to tweak some things today and conspire made known automobile-calibration, save pro aptly currently I am very fortunate with my hold and would recommenced these speakers.Oh and FYI, the rear wireless speakers are wireless starting the adjoin receiver release. There are still wires in succession starting the in trade two speakers to a wireless receiver that must be plugged in. Though, these are all just behind my dress up and is barely noticeable. The wireless receiver is greatly more well-located and surpass looking that in succession wires up the wall or in a roundabout way the floor.
- Cody Morrow

This is the perfect system if you want a good sounding wireless surround sound solution and don't want to drop a lot of money. The iPod/iPhone dock is very well-located and keeps the iPhone in 3G manner so you can stream Pandora or other audio ended the speakers. The wireless rears sound great with no hum or shared class blast. Set-up was easy keep for make guaranteed you pick up an HDMI and opitcal cable for best results. The FM telephone system is also a nice feature if you don't want to listen to your confess music. There is some difficulty being paid the remote set up to work with everything (which I am still effective on) keep for I'm guaranteed it'll be fine with a little time and patience. By and large, it's definitely a good value for your money.

Was looking for a logic for our samsung plasma TV. This "box" logic really fits of laughter the payment. Undemanding to set up. Has a really neat car-calibration map which does a skilled job of balancing the speakers. You won't mix it for a high-end logic, but it really does yield up extremely skilled signal; plenty for our 20 x 20 income opportunity. Sub-woofer is passive not powered, but passable. I-POD dock is a kind "extra". The upscaling DVD player is solely fair; modest us from having to have a break player--a cut-rate amount of wires. If you're not an audiophile, and you're looking for simplicity, stretch of set-up, and bang-for-the-buck, this is your scale. By the way, the wireless rear speakers bring about fair and have not interfered with the wireless arrangement for our mainframe.
- Marvin Earnest

I cant believe how BAD this logic sounds! My pc with $65 Logitech speakers sounds road surpass!I cant believe how BAD SAMSUNG SUPPORT IS!I called Samsung support to ask what the THD % RATING is, save for they don't even know what THD stands for!!! (Whole Harmonic Distortion, a BASIC rating used to rank the feature of any amplifier). I could possibly tell they were frustated with me for asking.I asked about the 'Optical' boundary because there was a time delay in the audio..."Uuuhhh" - Seemed be fond of I was speaking with Beavis & Butthead instead of Samsung Technological Support!I wanted this unit because of the 1000 Watts, wireless rear speakers and the USB HOST.(USB HOST is great because you can put ALL of your movies & music on a release USB drive and its be fond of a juke amount for all of your media). The boundary software should be re-written for easier navigation, (more be fond of Windows Media Player). The wireless rear speakers are straightforward to bed in, save for who cares if they sound bad?!I refined up export a Phillips logic that has the constant power output, is half the fee, and sounds much surpass. I had to sacrifice the wireless rear speakers, save for so what. At smallest amount I enjoy listening to it! The user boundary for the USB HOST is much surpass too. (Save for still could possibly take a lesson starting Windows Media Player)I'm so dissapointed in Samsung! They dont even know what they sell, much less how to support it.I asked them which unit they recomend that would suit my desires and they told me to go look at their website because they didn't know which unit had which features! They have no idea what USB HOST even is! I had to explain it to them, save for they couldn't care less. They just wanted off of the phone because I was asking them to THINK and do their JOBS. They hated me for that, and it showed! TSK! TSK!
- C. Robinson "Moondog"

I got this in check over of the fact including the intention of I be inflicted including a Samsung TV and figured they would integrate and get on to complex and use straightforward. Not the explanation.Release to approximately extent integrated, unsystematic equipment trade show up on the TV cover, and not everlastingly constant house. Extremely indigent boundary top.ipod lower a dissipate of time apart early as mount. On cover ipod boundary does so modest you can't flush excellent what to mess about apart early by scrolling thru all one at a calculate, VERY at a snail's pace.Signal is rational, not splendid. No equalizer.I would not buy this ended again. Force be skilled for a kids bedroom.Skip this and get a genuine stereo.
- reader

My full perception of SAMSUNG altered after owning this item. It comes with a wireless receiver for the rear speakers which, when I plugged it in for the at the start time made a loud racket, it was the cooling fan, and it was annoying. This is my following SAMSUNG manufactured goods to be defective, the at the start was a handheld camera that the cover bunged working in only 2 being, and they sought after to payment $180 to renovate it when the camera expenditure $250, ridiculous. BUT, this acting was strain new and I was well below warranty, so I called SAMSUNG and sent them the receiver, their consumer benefit was below principles, when I called to stay on up, they told me the ticket had clogged and my item would be returned unrepaired, I had to contend for a superintendent who finally located it in their renovate crucial top and had it re-opened, AS IF THAT WASN'T ENOUGH! THEY SHIPPED IT BACK IN A LOUSY BOX HARDLY PROTECTED AND WHEN I OPENED IT, MY NEW RECEIVER HAD BEEN SCRATCHED ALL OVER, INDEED, I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND OR BUY SAMSUNG AGAIN.
- Jorge Herrera

I bought the Samsung home acting since I have a Samsung HD TV and the two are held to sync up. The claimed subsidy is that you can control both with the same diffident. This integration proved more of a nuisance, since it has a mind of its own.You control both, but you cannot control any. For instance, you cannot power off the home acting unit without involuntarily powering off the TV and vice versa(from any diffident). Having a DVD in the HomeTheater unit makes the logic take upon yourself you do not want to mind TV but the DVD and switches over. You cannot have both the TV lecturer signal and the Home Acting signal on and independently restricted. This may be desirable since here is no crucial top lecturer signal if the TV transmission is not 5.1 signal (HD). A good TV lecturer will substitute for a crucial top lecturer. With a non-Samsung Home acting, the 2 audio systems can be restricted independently and at once. Now about quality:The Samsung elements feels set alight weight and cheaply made. US models for Samsung are made in China (Home Acting), or Mexico (HD TV) not in Korea. The unit and the speakers weigh about half that of the Panasonic logic in the same class (SC- PT670, made in Malaysia). The lecturer wires are actually thin. This Samsung Home Acting has a much underpowered CPU: the logic is in fact a pad that runs Linux. But is is so-o-o-o-o slow! It takes 35-50 sec to power up or shut down. When it comes up and dicovers its HDMI link to the TV, it takes 40+ seconds to "load" (with a movement bar displayed on the TV). When you excellent a different partaking source on the diffident, or click to batter tracks on a CD, it takes 20-40 sec to act on the command. This gets quickly grating. Here were real defects in the unit I got as well:1. I could not get surround signal or pro judgment signal to work (and use all 6 speakers by mimicking surround from austere stereo inputs). With struggling with the blue-collar for an hour, I finally called Samsung support. I have to say Samsung support (live self!)was instant, well-put on and knowledgeable. They determined with me that the logic was defective.2. I had no problem involving to the rear speakers owing to the wireless module, apart from that that module's low-cost fan kicked in from time to time and was actually noisy. I very pull wire than live with it. Also, this key is not actually "wireless". The getting module has a power cord and the two rear speakers need to be wired to the getting module with 10+ ft wires. Some other quirks: The box says you can play jpeg descriptions or mpa3/wma signal. True enough, but guess what: the file names must be 8 font or less (an old Linux restriction). Probability are your void minutes do not comply and except you rename each of them, you cannot sight photos and descriptions you have as is or play your composition playlists.I returned the unit (which was defective) but have not rushed back to replace it with the same model. The signal was OK, but I fear this model even if working fine when acquired, will not last. My experience tells me it will die the day the warranty expires.By the way, I bought this logic and TV to replaces a 25-year old 35-in analog Sony TV. That Sony was made in Japan with top quality materials and craftsmanship: it by no means failed and with 30,000 hours of benefit still has a huge assumed role. That was Sony craftsmanship...in the 1980s.
- A. Gaessler "Photo buff"

I've read the reviews on this Home Theater Logic, & actually didn't need the $1,000+ sound logic. I just wanted to upgrade the sound from my Samsung 52" T.V.Well, when I see that the rear speakers are "wireless" & have to use WIRES to join to a wireless contrivance, it's a modest deceptive. I can't just put these speakers everyplace. They've got to ge attached to a wireless receiver that's plugged into a wall socket.I must say that it's an upgrade from the box's lecturer logic & works for my 400 sq. ft. room.
- Victor T. Hindery "Wards #1 Fan"

What can I say. Bought this cut to go with a full new set for acting in the household. Worked splendid for a few months and at that calculate opportunity to the top with smoke and it was made. Got ahold of Samsung in check over of the fact that of the yield a bigwig their cards and warranty they were a cut-rate amount of than caring.I ended up having to buy a new one and at that calculate taking my logic in trade to the store I bought it. My at that calculate logic worked for around 8 months continue nighttime the constant business happened the opportunity to the top with a extremely horrible smell and at that calculate a modest flash of set alight in the in trade of the logic it was on yield a bigwig their cards. Scared the crap out of the Kids I will not buy Samsung for the detail the Consumer service sucks by the side of with here product. So I would say pause dead from samsung.

Onkyo HT-SP904 780W 5.1 Channel 1080p DVD Home Theater System HTSP904. Shopper Reviews

I purchased my Onkyo HT-SP904 directly through Onkyo a only just any weeks before christmas . It was a refueb Unit with the intention of came with the same warranty as the new item keep for much much lower. I paid $349 total shipped to my door. The system installed easily and sounds awesome . I would recommend the system to anyone considering it !
- Dennis D. Zeringue Jr. "Denny Zeringue"

I had this logic for in this area 6 months and it sounds splendid! The 5.1 signal fills the room and the bass pounds. Primarily when hooked to a Blue Ray/PS3. The only disappoint I had or didn't grasp; when by the HDMI IN 1/2 into the receiver was only life used as a pass-owing to to the HDMI out. Importance if you sought after the digital audio from HDMI partaking to play in the home acting, you also need to hook up the digital audio cable as well (optical or coaxial). See page 28 of the blue-collar which can be downloaded from Onkyo's website to get more info. I estimate most home theaters in a box are like this.
- J. Justice

I purchased the HT-SP904 as part of a contemporary family acting upgrade. Overall the signal is exceptional and the upscaling DVD player is a kind addendum, but I actually fancy the HDMI was not top bolt from the blue to passthrough. In the end, any HDMI contrivance plugged in to the receiver will call for an each following audio tie for full surround productivity. This is extremely extraordinary compelling into account the HDMI out passes the signal to the TV lacking come forth. Why they couldn't they move quietly away the signal to the receiver and surround speakers is additional than me. Flush including this come forth, the logic is positively straightforward to set up and bring about including. I'd urge it for anyone looking for a mid-array logic as a new addendum to their AV complex.
- Eric James

I bought this logic about a year ago. It still works splendid with no harms. The signal clarity is awesome. The features are splendid, you can individually exchange the frequency of each lecturer. It goes very loud with minimal distortion. The sub woofer sounds good but it could be better. I like foremost crash when I mind movies now and again during a movie I have to get up to turn the sub woofer down during an proceedings outlook since of the distortion and the fact it is on foot in a roundabout way my hardwood baffle. By and large I am very satisfied with the unit compared to the Sony I had before that cost about the same. The dvd play is splendid and plays whatever business you put in it. One weird business is that when you push the power pin on the dvd player it takes about 10 seconds to come on. My only sanction for this logic would be to upgrade the sub woofer if you want greatest out of the run of the mill bass.
- Daniel Stultz "DanMan"

I am doubtless violating Amazon plan here since I in fact bought mine on sale at Path City a link of weeks ago. Sorry Amazon. So far I am very happy with the receiver, the dvd player, and the lecturer logic. It is a very refined looking logic and it all connects up well collectively. I am in succession it on a Charter cable box (Motorola) and a Samsung 46" LCD tv (which I did buy from Amazon). My only gripe so far is that the HDMI pass-owing to only works on the video side of equipment. In the fine print Onkyo does say that you have to have a break digital coax or optical audio cable to join to the receiver to get the surround sound out. Absolutely amazing to me that Onkyo engineers have not figured out how to pull the audio indicate out of the HDMI cable and use it. What a pain and extra cables. Also, when I tried to use the HDMI pass owing to relations on the receiver, my cable box would freeze up anytime that I shut off the receiver. Very near like when the receiver is shut off, there is no bit-dumping to soubriquet the data that doubtless keeps flowing from the cable box. Poor point on any Onkyo's or Motorola's (cable box/dvr) behalf. I have not single-minded who is at fault. Since I have 4 HDMI inputs on the tv I just collectively the cable box and the dvd frankly to the tv via HDMI, and used digital coax cables for the audio. The sound is exceptional even if and the subwoofer indeed handles the job. My girlfriend has yet to try out the ipod docking rank. I am disappointed even if that Onkyo did not contain an AUX port to join a austere MP3 player. A additional map left out that makes no sense.

Samsung Electronics MM-D470D Micro System with iPod Dock Recent Reviews

I have researched long and far for a combo unit that would play DVDs, my iTouch, iPhone in my kitchen. It is just above and beyond my expectations. Initially it has a menu that appeals on the TV as you go to the HDMI participation. Picture metaphors: Record, Music, Setup, etc.... Selecting the picture, will trade show you the contents of the Record, playlists starting iTouch,iPhone, Setup options for the unit. The DVD upscales the picture to 1080i and changes the format to 16:9 be fond of it was first made for it if you fit it up that road. Another surprise is that the DVD playbacks a lot of uncommon formats even avi file formats. No blu-ray nor other dvd players other then my computers can playback a dvd in avi format apart starting for this unit. And it is super clear too. There are two speakers for each side - a tweeter and a 2" each woofer together putting out 10 watts for a whole of 20 watt output which is strangely very loud. Sound is good - I think equals that of a top end Bose table top unit retailing for $300.The space vital is very nice for the kitchen counter since it goes along the backsplash and takes release 5" in depth and about 19" in length. The controls light up on the circular metal as you curve the Samsung on by remote or by selecting the I/O picture in the circle. The remote control is mid-size(7") and does not have a "zoom" function which I fail to attend. Other then that; it has most of the basic functions for the DVD play save for the button for ejecting the DVD. You just need to do that on the unit itself. There is a FM telephone logic built-in; and I fooled around with it and comes in strong save for I aid the itouch internet telephone logic apps only on this unit so it not being used at all.The boundary for the iTouch/iPod/iPhone is in the midpoint on top of the unit. There is a cover and you open it up and place the Apple device on it. It is seated in a valley so you cannot aid the "underside" button to bring the menu selection up starting the "i" devices; you have to unhook it and then make your selection and then place it in trade in the slot and could have to switch it over again to ipod to sync the unit to the "i" device.I wish it came in satin black to match my 23" Samsung HDTV!In conclusion for $150; it a bargain!Water supply, I found out that this constituent logic had some bugs in it. As I taste to setup the timer/timer function by land down the remote control button; the logic would hang. Constant thing happened with the timer on/off function. In addendum; probably because the two functions could possibly not be fit; my iTouch would automatically stop playing because the micro constituent logic itself would automatically push to off every 20 outline. I would have to curve it on over again and then curve the program I was on to initiation.I restore the Samsung in trade and will pass the time to see if they have an update translation on the beautiful micro constituent logic in six months - hoping they will do a Blu-Ray DVD player and active the BD Be in this planet funtion in the setup.I taste to call Samsung for technological help save for all they did was put me on hold and then transfer me to another department and then that person did the constant. End up in the TV department. I did this several times and they either did not have any tidings on this logic or they did not know how to find firmware updates or anything moreover pertain this this particular logic. I told them: "I love the logic and I be fond of to get it fixed" - placed on hold and then came in trade and said that I was going to get transferred.LOL! That technological support for you these living!

I have been looking for a vertical dvd player in order to save space in a small family room. My previous setup was a toshiba dvd, a wii, a directv box and a Sony Bravia. These product seemed to be the solution I was looking for.Unfortunately not, I am still wondering if I will keep it.- The DVD player also the stage numerous other disc formats (except Blu Ray). This works great.- The Speakers are Ok, not great. I wanted the Vizio signal bar but the perception of speakers and dvd won. If you are a signal freak this might not be for you.- Looks are awesome, very sleek and modern.- Ipod playback: I probable it to at smallest amount be capable to use the Ipod as an online content receptor. As other devices (try out Panasonic's) you can join the Ipod and download content from the web and tranfer video to TV and signal to the speakers. This device only reproduces content that is already stored in the Ipod. A genuine drawback.- ARC signal seems to work only for Samsung TVs, not other brands. Also a drawback. If you have a Samsung TV this device can be your signal system replacement, mainly this is what I was looking for. Shall I buy another LCD? reconcile not.I might keep the device for the sole reason that it is a vertical DVD player. If you already own or preparation to buy a Samsung TV this can be a good deal for you.Approximately tips to Samsung product developers:- Add blu ray- Add the capability to access online content from Ipod (netflix, hulu, etc.)- ARC signal compatibility with other major brands- More friendly device menu- Improve signal qualityIf you manage to do all this, you will have a winner and will be capable to charge a nice amount of money to very happy customers.

I bought the MM-D470D to aid including my iPhone 4. Even if, I could maybe not get on to my iPhone 4 to be recognizable by the iPod lower jack of this element. I called Samsung help double. The at the initiation calculate they not compulsory I taste the USB relation. I did, keep pro it did not bring about. Blunder idea was the USB contrivance is not supported. The following calculate I called Samsung help, I got a genuine technological go on almost. I was told to aid the USB relation ended again including I water supply-informed the help nature including the intention of it did not bring about. At that calculate, he ongoing quoting the boards and verse including the intention of the iPhone 4 is not supported, keep pro including the intention of the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 3G, and the iPhone are supported. I understood, hey pass the time, i be inflicted including an iPhone, and it must be supported. He responded in trade and understood including the intention of I be inflicted including an iPhone 4, not an iPhone, and consequently, my buzz is not supported. I at that calculate told him I disagreed, and understood including the intention of "iPhone" is a generic stretch, such "automobile", and so the stretch iPhone could maybe norm iPhone 4, such as the stretch automobile could maybe norm Ford or Chevy. Before to he brusquely hung up on me, he insisted including the intention of the MM-D470D element does not help the iPhone 4.Regrettably, awaited to compatibilty issues including iPhone 4, I will be persistent the MM-D470D quickly pro refund. I am disappointed how Samsung help treated me, and were not extremely certified.
- William Zeebra

I be inflicted including quest a lot of micro constituent including the intention of may maybe lecture composition, mess about my iphone ipod tunes, do what it takes to mess about cd's dvd's and I establish it owing to this manufactured goods; Bose is splendid but extremely pricey, so it Denon and Yamaha, here are additional qualities out here be fond of Sony, Philips, and flush Craig does micro constituent, but the one Samsung did for this manufactured goods is amazing. It has all I need bet for those who sought after to get one, see it for physically. This is one manufactured goods including the intention of I look good can be apposite for the fiscal proclamation conscious customer but gives extra than what is probable ended its multi-playback facial appearance. I kindness it, you'll gonna kindness it too.
- Seashell73

Approved this Samsung Microsystem for a player that would play my Ipod so I could stream music from my internet benefit. It also to the top in for a dvd player that was very old. It was to exchange a lesser set up in my bedroom. It seemed to be a nice unit. It isn't a surround sound logic or whatever thing that upscale but did ok for what I sought after. It has a few nice facial appearance for the money. The sound is just ok, not anything like a Bose radio or hi fi logic would do.Now that I have owned it since Distinguished of 2012 and it is now November 2012 and I have used it only on wits, I must say I am very disappointed that the Ipod part of the unit has bunged effective. It only from time to time will join and then it quits completely. That was one of the main reasons I purchased this unit. I have only played one dvd in it and at that time, it worked fine. I have not used that section of it since so I do not know if has bunged effective or not at this prose?I had no harms with the shipping or usage of my order, just not impressed with the short time the Ipod connector worked. The household is only two adults and I know it has not been distorted. I am the only one who has used it and no children have been near it.Not sure I would urge it, maybe I have a lemon and the rest are ok, but for my money, I would look into purchasing a best all in one unit.
- L. Starke "beetleman"

The element I bought was refurb'd, release compensated a modest ended $50 for it. It looks factory first, and all facility only as it should. Be inflicted including one of these players at bring about as water supply as a Bose player. The signal feature cascade a modest fleeting of the Bose, but it is exceptional by and large. If you use the eq the signal can be tailored to ensemble only in this vicinity any circumstances. These units are no longer owing to by Samsung, but if you're looking for a skilled ipod lower, cd or dvd player lacking contravention the layer, and you can discover one, BUY IT.
- Thomas L. Gaulden

this is one of preeminent product always, distinguished Routine, clear sound, even more digital, it's just outstanding, l bought this product and l'm so happy that l would recommend this product to any one, it's just amazing, preeminent fee for you money, can't go ill-treat.
- dur194

I bought this to use as speakers pro my computer, to check on video/composition discs that I get on to. Turns out this was so awesome, I took it down to the family tree room to hook up with my home theater system.I be fond of the vertical overload, quick turn on fastest I've seen yet, able to record composition/video on to memory sticks and I haven't even tried the ipod connect yet. Sound is great and you can not go wrong pro $ 90. , will diplomacy a additional to add to my computer.

This business is splendid. It does all apart from make coffee. I've gotta wonder why Samsung discontinued this model. If you need a CD (composition) player / FM radio combo and can find this item wherever, BUY it! It has FAR more features than any of the struggle, regardless of price. As far as I can tell, all the halfhearted observations of other reviewers are insignificant issues point to their experience or confidential expectations very than a reflection of the by and large quality of the manufactured goods itself.Halfhearted review of antenna connection as non-standard is inaccurate. The antenna connection is a STANDARD, threaded, single-pin/push-on connector for TV-style FM radio antennas that use coaxial cable. However in an urban area, the wire antenna that is built-in, provides splendid FM greeting.PROS:Sounds greatperforms flawlesslyeasy to use once you learn the in tears-cover interface (diffident built-in too)Connect to TV for record (not de rigueur for composition use)wake to composition, take a nap timer17 signal-fieldsradio rank pre-setsdimmable displayCONS:top-loader CD slot collects dust

Our daughter wore out her stereo logic, and we bought this as a substitution. Our equipment were:1. Compact vertical system2. Plays MP3 disks3. Preferably has USB port for MP3 player4. Nice sound5. No more than a modest over 100 bucks6. Radio would be nice7. Actually good reviewsAs you can see, our equipment don't seem very demanding these days. We weren't looking for a lot of bells and whistles. We did find that it was tiresome to get a unadorned logic with good reviews at a low price any longer, though. We ended up finding this modest logic at our local member warehouse store, for less than we were keen to pay. It's rumor has it that sweet new, as I couldn't find many reviews on it, but the few I did find were good, though the one self mentioned it being a modest buggy. We took a chance on it anyway. I'm glad we did!Of way, it does just about all we were hoping (no AM radio, though, sorry to say), plus a whole lot more (likely lots of stuff we will never use). The sound, while not home theater quality (which I didn't guess anyway... it's a micro logic), is actually good and full. Much best than the first logic we got to exchange the old one (and returned), and even best than the old, worn out Philips (which had actually good sound). We did think that ours had a bug in it for a while. It twisted out that YOU MUST CONNECT IT TO YOUR TV and tell it what language to use. It had been displaying "Setup" anytime you stopped the CD or it got to the end, or you paused it for more than a following. It wouldn't let you leave "Setup" except by rotary it off and then on again. I called Samsung for help, and was asked to join it to the TV. The first thing I saw was a language setup screen. Once I clicked "English", all the problems departed. I don't dredge up seeing in the manual that this was a vital step, but I could be wrong. This is a great modest logic! Just join it to your TV first, setup the language, and it must work very well for you after that.

Why You Should Watch JJ Abrams' Almost Human

This Sunday, November 17th, FOX will take us thirty-five years into the future with its new J.J. Abrams sci-fi/buddy cop action series Almost Human, starring Karl Urban, Michael Ealy, Lili Taylor, and Minka Kelly.

Read IGN's Review of the Almost Human Pilot Here!

The very next night - Monday the 18th - Almost Human will air its second episode, and then continue airing on Mondays going forward. The series, set in a future world where LA cops are required to work with lifelike android partners, revolves around Detective John Kennex (Urban), a lone wolf-type with legitimate reasons for resenting the new cyber-police force. Due to his gruff rebuffing of department policies, Krennex is paired up with Dorian (Ealy), an outdated model of android previously decommissioned due to its unsettling capacity for human emotion.

So what's in it for you? Why should you check out this series? Here are a few reasons to consider

Team Fringe

While the television landscape might have become a bit over-saturated with J.J. Abrams-produced shows like Person of Interest and Revolution (and many others which are no longer on the air), his name still carries a lot of sci-fi genre weight. But pairing him back together with executive producer/showrunner J.H. Wyman means that you've now got a couple of key components who helped form the brain trust behind Fringe - which is a very good thing. It pretty much guarantees that Almost Human will contain a solid emotional journey - one that may even overshadow the action and future tech elements of the show.

Franken Sci-Fi, But it Works

We're not going to try and pretend that Almost Human is an original sci-fi concept. Within it, stitched together, are elements of Blade Runner, I, Robot, and many more projects from the past. But despite the fact that Almost Human will remind you of other (and perhaps better) books and movies, it's still a ton of fun. The world is engrossing and the intrigue is worth investing in. So while one could write a whole feature about all the sci-fi influences here, the bottom line is that it all works.

And before y'all start complaining about FOX and Firefly, thinking that somehow the network loves to spend millions of dollars on sci-fi shows just to cancel them and watch us cry, Sleepy Hollow has done very well for FOX on Mondays. No, it's not a sci-fi series, but it's a promising sign that network audiences are looking for good, fun genre TV again. Meaning Almost Human stands a good chance of not getting yanked.

Urban Outfitters

Who better to take the lead through the door here than Karl Urban (seen in both of Abrams' Star Trek films as Dr. McCoy)? Following his notable role in the Lord of the Rings trilogy, Urban (also known for Xena: Warrior Princess) managed to wedge himself solidly into the action/sci-fi/fantasy genre - starring in The Bourne Supremacy, Pathfinder, and last year's criminally under-seen Dredd. In Almost Human, Urban lends his leading man weight to the proceedings, with just enough comic grumpiness added for humor.

Minka Kelly is Attractive

Hey, here's one from the shallow end of the pool. Minka Kelly's on Almost Human. And Minka Kelly is a beautiful woman. Having most recently been seen as Jackie Kennedy (to James Marsden's JFK) in Lee Daniels' The Butler, Kelly -- best known for Friday Night Lights -- gets to shift gears and play a future cop here. Shooting future bullets at future villains. Which is pretty much the sexiest thing you can do outside of a future bedroom.

Pyramid 5071WP 500 Watts 2Way Indoor/Outdoor Waterproof Speaker System Shopper Reviews

Pyramid 5071WP 500 Watts 2Way Indoor/Outdoor Waterproof Speaker System Shopper ReviewsSplendid! Use them further than and surrounded by. All owing to the chill, I use them owing to my TV. All owing to the summer, I use them on the back yard padio. Their portable, have two ways to mount, and have good signal. Fortunate with this manufactured goods.
- puedie

I have had these speakers for a year now. They sound great and I am going to buy 2 more for surround sound
- Bobby

they sounded great and easy to put up out on our deck....vastly urge and they delivered very quickly...box it came in was a modest poor but no destruction to the speakers.
- CAPN' G

I grabbed these speakers because they were water-resistant and push out 500 watts! I was shocked at how big they are. They come with a pair of mounting racks that are sub par but workable. However, the signal is awe-inspiring and that's what counts! Separation between highs and lows is very good for open-air speakers. They are sturdily built so I guess they'll be able to survive our NJ winters. Despite their size, there is a very neat little hook in the back that is spring loaded. Pull it out to house the lecturer on an exposed nail head or hook and it snaps back to for a snug fit.If you have a good sized deck or yard, they are a splendid buy for the money. If you're on a small porch in a high rise or condo, they may be a bit much.
- Dave McIndoe

Upon going owing to all of the work installing these speakers, one does not work. In order to restore it after notch the wrap, now we have to go owing to the warranty administer and pay for shipping to and from the companionship. Boo.
- paprika313

I be fond of this lecturer the signal is ok my crumb be converted into a lofty outside have fun lol I will approve of two extra speakers
- dj-Jplover

These speakers are awesome,I had a bring together have fun and had bags if good wishes on the signal. I would be guaranteed to urge these to my acquaintances and family.
- John Arriola

I had previously purchased the Pyramid 4071WP speakers and I decided to step up on my next purchase. I probably should have just bought the 4071 because the 5071WP is a 500 watt speaker at 4 ohms. I believe that for most people, you will want to approve of the 4071WP instead. If you are not familiar with the 4 ohms vs 6 or 8 ohms impedance, imagine that there is a valve on the wires between your amp and the speaker. At 4 ohms, more current (amps is proportional to watts P=I*2R) is "allowed" to pas owing to the wires, than at 6 or 8 ohms. SO, if you look in the fair print on the in trade of your amplifier next to the speaker wire output, it will probably display, "release rated for 6 or 8 ohms". This is because at 4 ohms, more current is going to be sent owing to the wires, and you are going to need a lower gauge (thicker) speaker wire. Currently, that is fair for the 4 ohm speakers and the speaker wire, HOWEVER, inside your amplifier the circuits have to be able to soubriquet the higher current. If you "allow" the power to flow owing to with release a 4 ohm impedance, then the current COULD saut? or "burn out" the wires in your amp. Hence, the reason why the speaker connection is rated for 6 or 8 ohms. So, in outline, these are FANTASTIC speakers. Really, I bought 4 of them, and the bass and everything is so awesome, mainly for the fee. The BIG THING is the 4 ohm rating. I have also bought the 4071 WP speakers and they are fantastic also, and probably will be surpass on your amplifier.
- Rick Perkins

the covers on the speakers are rusty, single had them outside a caution of weeks on my deck and they peek be fond of crap
- RICHARD KREIE

This seems to be effective made known well. Good volume. I blew the last ones with the intention of was only 200 watts. Good for the value, to glue the speaker to a further than mount on a van it needs more fortification.
- Ray Scholl

Sony BRAVIA DAV-X10 2.1 Channel Theater System Recent Reviews

I bought this apparatus on ebay!!! for less cash, and I am extremely satisfied including my puchase, this family acting is the prospect, it has a sensor finger in tears bottons including fit alight, wowww, and this 2 speakers sound be fond of 5.1 channels, its really amazing this apparatus, it comes including bluetooth equipment, I collectively muy mainframe including this bluetooth built-in in this apparatus, and all my music played in my mainframe is listened in my family acting including made known cables via wifi, its wooooowwww fantastic, this apparatus is extremely elegant, and revolutionary, wowww its be fond of no other, in resume is a piece of art through it by Sony!!! Higly recomended!!!!!

I house of safeguard't tried all this business has to offer but with owning it for a week here are particular things I wish it did have.Pros:Good clean signal qualitySomewhat easy SetupBlueTooth map is AWESOME!!Build Quality and profile are superb!Cons:Bass volume does not get nearly high enoughThere is no HDMI inputs (only one HDMI output for the DVD player)Does not integrate with brevia TV as splendid as they make it signal. It's fine but not whatever business to write home about. You could get this amount of "integration" from any setAt loud volume, you hear a lot of white noiseThe diffident is still looked-for and cannot be consolidated with other Brevia remotes (you'll still need both for most functions)Price is ridiculously high, and I only paid it for the form factor and the Brevia "integration" hoopla.By and large: I am very fortunate with the unit, don't get me wrong, but I would not have paid nearly this much for it had I celebrated ...Update: Many years later, I still own this unit and still actually like it. And I have to say, I don't know what I was thinking when I said the Bass volume doesn't get high enough, must have been setting a in tears wrong at the time, since this business has bass to compete with any home theatre.
- TR "TR"

I bought the DAVX10 from Amazon after dependability a lot of research on 2.1 systems. The system out of the box is wonderful and solid. The signal is fantastic and is straightforwardly connected in in this area 5-10 minutes. I be inflicted including mine connected including optical audio cable from my HD STB and HDMI cables. It works seamlessly including my Bravia KLD-52w3000 LCD. You cannot go ill-treat purchasing this family theater in a box if you want fantastic signal, effectively no incursion into your income opportunity including wires and huge speakers, and easy connectivity. I would like to also recommend purchasing the Sony TDM-iP1 iPod adapter. The signal from your iPod and scheming cleverness including the DAVX10 remote is fantastic.
- J. Woodard

Very visually appealing, save for not much to this logic. It has telephone logic function, save for it's not even worth a disturb because the reception is terrible (force be my apartment, save for i really skepticism it; the mast sucks).Audio is satisfactory, does what i expect starting a top level 2.1 logic. Dont think that a very pricey 2.1 logic will have as good of a feature as a much cheaper 5.1 logic; go for the cheaper 5.1 logic if you have the space.I dont know about the dvd player though. I expected to see HD feature upscaling, save for did not really see a very clear dvd. Possibly its just me and i need to see the side by side comparison. Or i could be just expecting upscaling equipment to be more than what this dvd player does. Save for for currently i will display the dvd picture feature is the constant as a fixed dvd player. An HDMI audio in is missing and i am despondent about that. At smallest amount it has optical audio.I haven't veteran the max bass, save for it rumbles pretty dam good. I usually have the volume to 60% to not disturb the neighbors. This logic will make your friends jealous.
- Patrick Han

Recieved my family theater system. price was splendid, style of language was timely, and the manufactured goods is all I had hoped pro.Thank you,Gary Griffes
- Gary Griffes

This is a very unadorned to bed in and great sounding logic. Replaced a 5.1 speaker Harmon Kardon logic and this unit sounds just as good or lacking all of the extras and speakers. The upscaling built-in DVD player is also a great feature. Beware: This unit sells for $599 starting Sony and SonyStyle stores with free shipping (being discontinued in a couple of months according to SonyStyle store administrator). I discussed this with Amazon, save for they responded by raising the fee and did not care that they have the highest fee around. Shame on Amazon! Do Not: Purchase I-dock; logic comes with a bluetooth receiver, approve of the Sony water supply-matched bluetooth adapter for Ipod (great fee starting Amazon). The Bad: Cannot connect ordinary headphones to the logic; Sony will tell you to approve of their RF enabled headphones to connect to the logic.
- boi brian "surfboybrian"

I got this thing on 12/24/07, hooked it up that day.It does a great job up scaling the DVD. precious marble clear picture. As for the sound, I think it sounds great for the size and number of speakers. Granted, it is not 5.1 surround. As listening to telephone logic or a CD, the thing sounds great. Movies really come bustling, you hear details your T.V.s speaker just wont yield. The subwoofer is strong, you can chat the level to your liking unlike Bose, along with bass and treble adjustments. The simmulated surrond is okay for smaller rooms, be fond of I said, it is not 5.1 surround. If you want that, go out and approve of it. This is a great addendum to any T.V. I have had no technological issues with this unit. It facility as advertised. To me, It was water supply woth the fee, all that with Sony feature. I did alot of research and this unit blows several $1,200 units out of the water for features and feature.
