Samsung HT-BD2S Blu-ray Home Theater System Reviews

Having studied several family theater systems "in a amount", we settled on this one to form a junction with our Samsung 50" plasma. It's lived up to its positive reviews, creates an awesome theater experience and is an exceptional regard. A couple caveats. Fit up as not compulsory--mainly keeping the adjoin right and left speakers in line with the focal top channel. We initially didn't, and the slight delay between the fronts and focal top yielded an straightforwardly traceable out-of-synch sound look. Also resist the temptation to curve up the subwoofer too at full volume. As you get it right you'll have the profound bass you need and you won't be able to identify the location of the secondary. If you have a Samsung TV you can aid the Blu-ray remote for the TV. Kick in trade and enjoy!

Great price and extremely impressed with the appearance and ease of set up. Problem is the system I expected won't play blue rays. I contacted Samsung's support element and after having me run several tests including resetting the system several times and trying different blue ray disks the tech provided me a ticket digit and advised that I needed to ship it to an address in NJ "at my own expense" for warranty repairs. Upon receiving their email directing me where to send the element for repairs I learned that based upon the serial digit of my element, the 1 time warranty was single convincing until 8/31/2009, I expected it starting Amazon at the end of 03/2009. To display the smallest amount I'm not a happy camper with the additional shipping expense to get on to it repaired the shortened warranty period and trouble. The system does look great even if.

For the price this is a good system the signal is great but it can take forever to load a blu-ray, and like every1 else says the wires are to fleeting.

1) Adjoin lecturer wires too fleeting.2) No equalizer gathering (Not skilled if you have certain examination losses).3) No on-cover complex menus for "SFE", "NEO:6", or "Dolby Pro Judgment".4) Noisy cooling fan (sounds be fond of a hair dryer).5) Sub woofer does not power off with system (energy thief).6) Balance & space complex do not work with music playing.7) Very sluggish to commands (makes you reflect it is broken).Additional than the higher than mentioned faults, the system sounds and performs well.

Logic messed up after a few months. Stoped conception DVD's. Had to send the unit back to Samsung. They sent it back said it was fixed. Played one day. Stoped playing DVD's. Called Samsung back and sent it back. They fixed it again. They said it would not hold it's programing and fixed it and sent it back again. Well that lasted a week. This time Samsung sought after the whole logic back with speakers. They refunded the amount I payed for it.

This home acting logic is what won over me to everlastingly make the jump to Blu-ray. I bought it from Amazon at 51% off its $1000 MSRP. I extra Amazon Fill in and had it in my home in two days. Set up was unadorned, but with seven speakers plus a subwoofer, there's a lot of wire in succession almost my family tree room. The depiction feature of the Blu-ray discs is stunning, and a regular DVD gets upconverted to 1080p, so all my old material looks much best than ever, too. The signal is spectacular, too. My Blu-ray copy of Men in Black had the walls and baffle factually shaking with rocket engines and explosions. All I've played, be it Blu-ray or regular DVD, has been terrific, both depiction and signal. If you're compelling into account making the move to Blu-ray, don't hesitate to give this logic honest significance.

This is the most excellent blu-ray/home sound system on the promote for the fee. It combines the bd player and the 7.1 lecturer sound system. This amalgamation is trying and costly to find. I had some problems being paid it set up but some calculate ago up and in succession it is very impressive. The problems I encountered were: 1) I needed to add longer lecturer wires for the rear speakers. 2) One of the 2 blu-ray movies I on loan to ordeal the system needed a system upgrade from Samsung websight before it would mess about. I needed to download a compressed file, burn a cd then overload it into the bd player. This took quite a even as chasing almost on line for procedures. Now all facility splendid with one exception. The Dish network DVR sound is fed via D.IN 1. As I do a repeat or skip fwd on HD recorded stations, the sound is delayed for 3 sec before restarting. This requires a longer repeat in order to prevent missing the desired audio. Facility normally with non HD stations. My previous sound system did not have this conundrum.

I bought two TVs 52" & 46" one run 7 and serires 6 repectively and a blue ray player all Samsung brand I planning I will not make a mistake buying the Home Theater Logic from Samsung boy! I was WRONG it is a catastrophe to my fine tuned ears my TV speakers go best than the logic. I am requesting to return it. I gave one star since of its ease to setup. They are cosmetically nice looking speakers but poor the theater. It did not come with batteries for the remote eventhough it is itemised in the list of enclosures. For the price it is not worth.
