Boston Acoustics TVEE Model 26 Theater System Shopper Reviews

Compensated $250 for element . Momentously stuck-up signal of TV . If you're looking for Trade show Acting signal you'll be inflicted including to dissipate extra cash. Dredge up $800 units deprivation $800 for a mind. For the cash this element sounds extremely skilled.

Our fundamental TV is a high classification flatscreen with exceptional depiction quality, but signal that is middle-of-the-path, at most excellent. The TVEE looked be fond of an ideal way to boost the by and large signal quality as surveillance TV, and unadorned sufficient for a name who is (admittedly) not the most excellent in the planet at concerning audio gears.Early complex is a breeze. The element includes one optical cable that collectively basically to the TV's productivity. One exceptionally insignificant come forth (with the box, not the TVEE) arose as the instructions called for rotary off the box lecturer. Our box does not yield that fastidious choice; I would take in the lead physically that additional broadcast with the constant come forth would be able to map out that it's in effect the constant as rotary the number not working (not muting, as that foliage an icon on the screen of loads of televisions), but it seemed odd that the instructions did not take up this likelihood anyhow.Signal from cable, Amazon streaming record, and Blu-Emission is, by and large, superb. (Contracted, this is appearance from a "layman"; I'm not certain how water supply it would call up to the analysis of an audiophile.) We have not experienced person any of the "reducing out" issues that approximately additional reviewers have described. Even if, as others have mentioned, it does look rather odd that the TVEE does not have bass, treble, weigh, or any of the additional "ordinary" audio joystick for fair tuning. It does have modifiable spruce amount for the Aux 1 partaking single, but the instructions do not yield reasons for at all what this background earnings, and I had to alternative to Google to gather that it deals with the partaking sensitivity. The single additional come forth we've run into is also rather insignificant, and deals with the inputs. Here is the optical digital partaking, as water supply as two at the bottom of inputs for 1/8" stereo connectors. Our TV (and I'm not certain if this is ordinary, or a drawback of our box) will single productivity signal to an open-air lecturer if it is partaking via HDMI. No conundrum for the cable box or the Blu-Ray player, but rather a big take care of business for record diversion systems that don't have an HDMI productivity (be fond of the Wii). To use such a logic requires purchasing bonus adaptors; even if Boston Acoustics provides a few extra cables, they don't provide a way to form a junction with the ordinary two RCA connectors to the 1/8" stereo partaking. It struck me as to some extent odd that, of three uncommon partaking options, dual-RCA inputs was not one of them. (With export about $5 value of connectors, even if, the signal from the Wii is the most excellent I've always heard from that logic.)By and large, the TVEE is a positively economical signal key that must yield high sufficient quality consequences for most users, and is unadorned sufficient for anyone to set up.(As of this prose, we have not experienced person the diffident capabilities of the TVEE. Rather than brainwashing the diffident to transmit certain signals to the TVEE, the TVEE in effect "learns" the signals from seemingly unused buttons on the diffident. We now do not have any "extra" functions on our diffident, but will likely purchase a new complete diffident in the effectively possibility so as not to have to take care of business with the break, practically tiny, TVEE diffident potential exclusively for number potential. If this impacts my attitude of the TVEE, I will bring up to date this review accordingly.)

Two things: Don't pay retail for this item. I bought it off of Woot for $120.00 That's a big wits I am charitable it a top rating. Not so sure if I paid $350. The following thing; make sure your TV doesn't have a lock on the number power on the diffident if you turn off the TV speakers (which you have to do). You can test this by going into your audio settings, rotary of the built-in speakers and then tiresome to use the number power on the diffident. If you get a pop-up box that says "Function Not Available", or a touch akin, stay away from this manufactured goods. You will get frustrated tiresome to incorporate their diffident and weigh the sound levels. My LG TV doesn't have a lock out and I was able to curriculum my contemporary TV diffident in less than 4 summary. The sound bar sits right up on the lecturer stand and looks great. I had to mess with the subwoofer number a bit. I find that the 3/4 background is just right. The usual big movie blasts give the apt rumble but the most telling thing for me is how the soundbar handles dialogue. It gets completely break from the ambient noise and comes at you from the center for the most part and is impeccably clear.I find that you have to turn up the number to a privileged level (in my case, digit) than you used to on the TV speakers alone. It have a uncommon relation scale but the corrupt is sweet darn good. This set up is in a bedroom so take that into tab. For the price I paid, I am over-the-top. I've run Netflix, Pandora and a fixed HD TV owing to it and the enhancement over the built in speakers is remarkable. Best Woot hold ever.

Loud sounds are great. Oral words are kind of hard to be with you at a lower number. Not too dilapidated but I think next time I would pay a modest more for best feature.

I purchased this from Fry's because the price was so low but I have to agree with the other negative comments about this item. The sound quality is amazing but the soundbar turns off and on for no reason. The subwoofer also doesnt work correctly. It also turns off and on. During a 1 hour episode the soundbar turned off and on at least four or five era. There is NO display on this soundbar any. There was no way to adjust no matter what thing. The remote was also low-cost and not good quality. There are no RCA inputs. The only way to hook this sound bar up is owing to the audio jack like a pair of headphones. This made it a pain to connect to my satellite receiver and my DVD player.I purchased this soundbar this morning and I have already boxed it up to restore to Fry's. I am sweet disappointed too because I am a huge fan of Boston Acoustic products.I would NOT recommend this product to anyone.

I ordered this complex since it I am trying to remove alot of the wires (fix) in room, the wireless sub was what i was looking pro in this type of system. I will be the first to say that it is not as great as a full sorround sound system, save pro it does fill the room with a great movie feature surround sound. The single disappointment that i establish is that there is no controls pro the soundbar itself (ie. trebble or bass). The wireless sub sounds great in relationship with the sound bar (it has a control knob on it to turn it up or down). I was concerned in this vicinity my wifi (2.6 hz) interfering with the 2.6 hz pro the sub, save pro it has no exchange on the sound and they are in the constant room. I would recommend this product.

Hooked this up to my 42 inch HDTV in my income room via optical cable. The soundbar comes with a small remote. It has two modes, music and movie. This summed up my encounter with the TVee26.Evaluation between the older TVee 25 and TVee26:- Same wattage but TVee 26 is much smaller in trace than TVee 25. The TVee 26 subwoofer is about half the consequence (6.6 lbs to 11.9 lbs) of the TVee 25 despite a slightly larger cone, 6.5" to 6". Sound bar a bit slimmer.Pros:- Setup is a breeze. The subwoofer and the soundbar are pre-corresponding when they ship it to you. All you need to do is give an audio indicate to the soundbar and give power on the subwoofer.- Soundbar looks good. Low profile with rubber footings.- Can be planned to work with your void remoteCons:- sound feature is so-so. I don't hear much alteration between the high and low frequencies. It is sweet much muddled in the midpoint collectively. I don't feel any thud or thump, just low rumblings. Most much, spoken words are low that you have a trend to turn the number privileged to hear the dialogue, which in turn causes the sound things to be much louder than necessary.

Not sure why all the broadcast using directv are charitable this logic low ratings, it sounds exceptional, works flawlessly, and is a great value at almost $150 refurbed/used. Sincerely, get a logitech harmony diffident you bums and stop argumentative, then you'll have one diffident for all your gears. The sound right out of the box in this unit is rich and charming, with great detail in the midrange. This is just so where most fiscal proclamation soundbars sound hollow and empty, but this tvee 26 sounds great. It looks great and fits nicely under my 43" samsung plasma. It is being used in a small/ordinary spare bedroom I use as an personnel. I think it is a solid enhancement over the tvee 25, which was more prone to sub amp issues, etc. I have had zero harms with this unit since purchasing it refurbed for under $150 shipped. The tiny included diffident even works well for me, if I were to use it lacking my harmony diffident. By and large, exceptional rich sound feature, passionate bass productivity, even if I wish it had a digital coax input and DTS decoding. At this price point even if, you can't guess those features.

Easy to set up and sounds splendid. Wifi subwoofer is nice. But be aware that here is no HDMI partaking - here are only optical and 3.5 mm inputs. So if your contrivance doesn't support these, you'll need to cobble a in tears collectively (about $10 or less worth of connectors) to make it work with this unit.If your TV doesn't let you disable your TV speakers, that might also be a problem. Mine does.I was able to use my TV diffident to control the volume with responsibility the "culture" business for it.No native EQ, so you'll have to rely on your contrivance EQ, which may be seen as a plus or minus. The only other caveat is, here are many similar units at this price top that also allocate Bluetooth composition streaming. You may want to thought-out if that's a in tears you're interested in.
